I feel awkward in front of the camera. Is that okay?

 

More than okay. It’s incredibly common. You don’t need to know how to pose or arrive overflowing with confidence. I’ll offer clear, encouraging direction while giving you room to move, laugh, play, and settle into yourself. My job is to help you feel comfortable enough to forget about performing for the camera.

 

What happens after I reach out?

 

You’ll begin by sharing a little about yourself and what you’re imagining. We'll connect through a short video call to talk through your ideas, and make sure we’re a good fit. Once your date is selected, your signed contract and 50% retainer will officially reserve your session.

 

How will we plan the creative direction?

 

You’ll complete a thoughtful questionnaire about your vision, personality, comfort, and creative desires. I’ll use your answers to develop the visual direction for your session, help select a location, and guide you through clothing, colors, textures, and other details. You’re welcome to bring ideas, but you don’t need to arrive with a fully formed concept.

 

What should I wear?

 

Wear something that feels like you, or like a version of you that you’re curious to explore. Texture, movement, layers, and colors that complement the landscape tend to photograph beautifully. Depending on your session, we can plan two or three possible looks. I’ll help you narrow down your choices so you won’t have to figure it out alone.

 

Do you provide hair, makeup, or wardrobe?

 

Hair and makeup are not included. My sessions are centered on creative direction, connection, and making extraordinary photographs without requiring you to be transformed into someone else. You’re welcome to do your own styling or hire professionals if that would make the experience more enjoyable for you.

 

Where do sessions take place?

 

Most New Orleans sessions happen outdoors in Audubon Park, City Park, or another mutually selected location. I also photograph seasonally near Samara, Costa Rica, and I’m available for travel when the right adventure calls.

 

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

 

Outdoor photography comes with a little unpredictability, and that can sometimes create unexpected magic. We’ll keep an eye on the forecast as your session approaches. If conditions would be unsafe or genuinely miserable, we’ll make a plan to adjust the timing, change locations, or reschedule.

 

Can I bring someone with me?

 

Absolutely. If you’d like a friend, partner, or family member to be photographed with you, the Connection Experience is designed for two to four people. If you simply want someone to come along for support, let’s talk about it beforehand so we can decide what will best protect the ease and intimacy of your experience.

 

Is this experience inclusive?

 

Deeply and enthusiastically, yes. People of every race, ethnicity, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, body, age, ability, religion, and relationship structure are welcome here. You never need to shrink, edit, or explain who you are in order to belong in front of my camera.

 

How many photographs will I receive?

 

Your package includes a curated collection of fully edited, high-resolution digital photographs. I select the strongest images—the ones that best capture the beauty, energy, variety, and story of our time together. Additional photographs may be available for an extra fee.

 

Will you heavily retouch me?

 

My editing enhances the color, light, atmosphere, and artistry of each image while allowing you to remain recognizably yourself. I may soften temporary distractions, but I don’t believe your body or natural features are problems that need to be corrected.

 

Can I print and share my photographs?

 

Yes. You’ll receive personal printing rights and may share your photographs online. I always appreciate being credited when you post them, but most of all, I want the images to be seen, enjoyed, printed, and lived with.

 

Do you offer payment plans?

 

Your date is reserved with a signed contract and 50% retainer. The remaining balance may be divided into scheduled payments as long as the full amount is paid by the agreed-upon deadline. If you need a particular arrangement, please ask.

 

Do you travel?

 

Yes. Your experience includes up to one hour of round-trip travel from New Orleans unless otherwise stated. Additional travel can be arranged for a fee. I’m also sometimes available near Samara, Costa Rica, and would love to hear about the places you’re dreaming of exploring.
