My Philosophy

I've always believed photography is a way to present us to ourselves. To offer a mirror that reflects truths we may have forgotten.

Daily life can wring us dry of our aliveness, forcing us to wear masks and put pieces of ourselves away.

I believe play can return us to ourselves. When you can safely move, express, explore, and not have to be "perfect", your softness, your power, your weirdness, and your own unique beauty begin to come alive.

I'm not here to stage you or force unnatural poses. I'll guide you, laugh with you, explore nature with you, and let the rest unfold. It's in the unscripted laughter, the dirt, and the quiet moments that the magic happens.

My Story

Origin

My parents bought me my first handheld digital camera when I was 21. I was instantly obsessed. I took it everywhere and photographed everything. Every shaft of sunlight in dark clouds. Every mountain peak adorned with fog. Every wild animal, rainbow, and meadow flower. And I started practicing portraits, using my daughter as a model.

Past

Photography was my creative outlet. I raised my daughter, graduated with an Equine Science degree (yeah, I'm a horse girly), and worked admin roles to pay the bills. But I never stopped doing photography. I photographed my daughter, trying to capture the fleeting stages of her life, and started doing shoots for friends and family while finding my style. Photography was my play that kept my creative spark glowing.

Present

I started noticing how people, women especially, responded to their images. The dropped jaws. The teary eyes. The incredulity of seeing themselves in photos. This was how I always saw them - their softness in the sunlight, their power in how they carry themselves, the way they shine even under cloudy skies. And I realized they never got to see themselves this way. I became devoted to reflecting their magic back to them in a way they could see and celebrate. I’ve seen it change the way people see themselves. I'm honored to be the mirror.
